In support of the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, join the U.S. Palestinian Community Network (USPCN) and the Anti-War Committee on Thursday, October 1st, 2015, outside the United Center in Chicago, where we will protest Israeli and Euroleague basketball.

WHERE:

United Center, 1901 W. Madison St., Chicago
(meet at the main entrance of the stadium, which is Gate 3)

WHEN:
Thursday, October 1st, 2015, at 6 PM

The game pits an Israeli team, Maccabi Tel Aviv, against Italy’s Armani Milano. This will be the first time Euroleague teams play in the United Center as well as the first time a basketball team from Apartheid Israel plays in Chicago.

Join us to let the Euroleague know that Chicagoans are against the globalization of apartheid and occupation in our “Madhouse on Madison.”

This is not “just a game”!  Maccabi Tel Aviv and other Israeli sports teams are consistently deployed around the world in support of the occupation of Palestine.  Even prominent, mainstream sports reporters like Kevin Blackistone, who does some work with ESPN, said, “A sports boycott would certainly intensify the world’s spotlight on Israel’s approach to dealing with its occupied territories, just like it did South Africa’s defunct government’s dealings with its occupied peoples.”
