The Palestinian Popular Conference in the U.S. condemns the latest act of U.S.-backed Israeli terrorism and piracy. The seizure of the “Spirit of Humanity” boat and its crew, including former US Congresswoman and Presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney, is the latest in Israel’s genocidal campaign against the Palestinian population in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The Popular Conference reaffirms its solidarity with the former Congresswoman and her comrades. We call on President Obama to fulfill his legal and moral duties by ensuring the safe and immediate release of the “Spirit of Humanity” and its crew. Further, we demand that the Egyptian government bring to an end its shameful participation in the ongoing siege against Gaza.
