In light of the risks to the Palestinian national cause due to attempts to distort and play down the scale of Zionist crimes against the Palestinian Arab people throughout historic Palestine, ranging from killing, looting, settlement-building, siege and starvation, to the intensification of measures against Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as against our people in the occupied homeland of 1948; and in light of the unprecedented action undertaken by the President of the so-called “Palestinian Authority” in Ramallah, Mahmud Abbas to postpone the presentation of the Goldstone Report to the United Nations Human Rights Council, we in the U.S. Palestinian Community Network, which includes many organizations and individuals, emphasize the following:
1. We reiterate our solidarity with the families of the martyrs and the victims of the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip, and we stand in awe and humility in front of their heroic steadfastness in the face of aggression and siege. We call upon all national and Islamic forces, civil society institutions in Palestine and in exile, for solidarity and mutual assistance within the framework of our common struggle, the struggle for liberation, return and self-determination, against the Israeli occupation and its allies. The occupier is the only beneficiary of the continued state of division and fragmentation within the Palestinian national movement in Palestine and in exile.
2. We call upon Mahmoud Abbas to make a clear and unambiguous apology to the Palestinian people, the Arab nation, and all progressive people in the world, and to completely resign from any and all offices and positions in the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority. Abbas has proven beyond any doubt that he cannot be trusted with the interests and rights of the Palestinian Arab people.
3. We join our voices with the entire spectrum of the Palestinian national movement, which has called for the establishment of an independent committee of investigation to uncover and name those responsible for this crime and the mechanisms involved in this scandalous postponement of the Goldstone Report, which constituted a slap in the face against the efforts of dozens of human rights and humanitarian organizations. We express our appreciation for the leading role played by Palestinian and Arab institutions, as well as the movement of international solidarity with the Palestinian people, in all of these efforts to hold the occupier accountable for its crimes.
4. We demand an end to all programs of political and/or security cooperation with the Israeli occupation state. We hold the U.S. administration directly responsible for the relationship between the Palestinian Authority and the occupation. The crimes that are committed daily against our people are made possible by the unlimited U.S. support for the occupying power, by the pressure it has been exerting against the Palestinian people, and by providing political and diplomatic cover and protection for the Zionist criminals in international forums.
Today, we express our support for the Palestinian people everywhere, and we stand with the masses of our people in the Gaza Strip. We express our utmost confidence in the ability of the Palestinian people to overcome this difficult phase and to restore our national compass towards our Palestinian national goals – our inherent rights to achieve freedom and emancipation from the shackles and chains of racism, occupation, international hegemony, Zionism and all forms of reaction.

على ضوء ما تتعرض له القضية الوطنية الفلسطينية من محاولات التصفية والتشوية والاختزال، وما يمارسه الاحتلال الصهيوني من جرائم يومية بحق الشعب العربي الفلسطيني في فلسطين التاريخية ، من سياسات القتل والنهب وبناء المستوطنات والحصار والتجويع ومواصلة الهجمة المسعورة المتواصلة على القدس والاقصى وعلى جماهير شعبنا في الوطن المحتل عام 1948 .
وعلى ضوء ما يجرى في هذه الايام من تداعيات خطيرة ومؤلمة بسبب القرار – الجريمة – الغير مسبوق في تاريخنا الفلسطيني، والذي اتخذته رئاسة السلطة الفلسطينية في رام الله ، ممثلة بالسيد محمود عباس ، والقاضي بتاجيل عرض تقرير السيد ريتشارد جولدستون على مجلس حقوق الانسان التابع للامم المتحدة ، هذا القرير الدولي الذي حمل دولة الاحتلال مسؤولية ارتكاب جرام حرب ترقى للابادة الاجماعية ، فاننا في شبكة الجالية الفلسطينية في الولايات المتحدة الامريكية والتي تضم عشرات الجمعيات والشخصيات الفلسطينية نؤكد على ما يلي:
أولا : في الوقت الذي نؤكد فيه على تضامننا مع عائلات الشهداء والضحايا من ابناء شعبنا ، وخصوصا في القطاع الباسل ونثمن صمودهم الاسطوري في مواجهة العدوان والحصار ، فاننا ندعو كل القوى الوطنية والاسلامية ومؤسسات المجتمع الاهلي الفلسطيني في الوطن والشتات للتضامن والتعاضد في اطار معركة المصير الواحد ، معركة التحرر والعودة وتقرير المصير ، ضد الاحتلال الاسرائيلي وفي مواجهة حلفاؤه واداوته العميلة، باعتبارهم الجهة الوحيدة والمستفيدة من استمرار حالة الانقسام والشرذمة التي تعيشها الحركة الوطنية الفلسطينية في الوطن والمنافي
ثانيا : ندعو رئيس السلطة الفلسطينية ، السيد محمود عباس ( أبو مازن ) الى تقديم اعتذار واضح وصريح للشعب الفلسطيني وللامة العربية ولأحرار العالم ، يتضمن إستقالته النهائية من أية مناصب او مواقع رسمية واعتبارية في اطار منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية والسلطة الفلسطينية على حد سواء، ونطالبه بالتنحي الفوري ، باعتباره غير مؤتمن على قضية وحقوق الشعب العربي الفلسطيني.
ثالثا : نضم صوتنا الى كافة اطياف الحركة الوطنية الفلسطينية التي طالبت بتشكيل لجنة تحقيق مستقلة لمعرفة الاسماء والادوات التي تورطت في فضيحة وجريمة تاجيل التقرير والذي انجز بجهود ومشاركة عشرات المنظمات الحقوقية والانسانية . كما ونثمن الدور الريادي الذي قامت به المؤسسات الفلسطينية والعربية وقوى التضامن الدولي مع الشعب الفلسطيني في كل هذه الجهود .
رابعا : ندعو الى وقف كافة برامج التنسيق الامني والسياسي مع دولة الاحتلال الاسرائيلي. ونحمل الادارة الامريكية المسؤولية المباشرة عن رعاية تلك العلاقة بين السلطة والاحتلال، وعن تلك الجرائم التي يتعرض لها شعبنا يوميا ، بسبب الدعم الامريكي اللامحدود لدولة الاحتلال والمشاركة الفعلية في محاولات تصفية القضية الفلسطينية وممارسة الضغط على الشعب الفلسطيني وتوفير الغطاء للجلاد الصهيوني في كافة المحافل والمنابر الاقليمية والدولية.
اننا اليوم نعبر عن وقوفنا الى جانب ابناء شعبنا الفلسطيني في كل مكان ، ونقف مع جماهير شعبنا الصامد في قطاع غزة ، ونؤكد على ثقتنا بقدرة الشعب الفلسطيني على تجاوز هذه المرحلة الصعبة واستعادة البوصلة الوطنيه الفلسطينية نحو استئناف مشروعنا الاصيل والعادل في تحقيق العودة والتحرر والانعتاق من قيود وسلاسل العنصرية والاحتلال والصهيونية وكافة اشكال الوصاية الرجعية والدولية
