The US Palestinian Community Network is preparing for its Second Popular Conference of Palestinians in the United States, to take place in October 2010 in Chicago IL. The Popular Conference will be a weekend of cultural events, strategizing workshops, community-building forums, seminars and discussions, and opportunities for various sectors of our community – students, youth, women, academics, workers, professionals and others – to come together, plan actions, learn from each other, and rebuild their shattered national institutions.
The first Popular Conference took place in August 2008 in Chicago – click here for documents, videos and more from the first conference. In order to make sure this conference is successful and reflects the needs, wants and visions of our community and provides a space for all sectors of our community to raise their level of involvement in our national cause for freedom, justice and return for Palestine and its people, WE NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION! Please tell us: what do you want to discuss? do you have a workshop or speaker you would like to propose? what do you believe our community needs now? From the simplest idea to the biggest proposal, your voices and participation are urgently needed.
