In response to a motion from the defense, Judge Paul Borman changed the trial date to Monday, September 8th.  We do not imagine that this will happen again, so mark your calendars and continue organizing All Out for Detroit!

In addition,  our national call-in day was a resounding success.  Hundreds of people called in, and many who tried numerous times throughout the day reported that McQuade’s voicemail was full and emptied and then filled again.  Others mentioned that the phone sometimes rang over a half dozen times before being answered, which leads us to believe that her assistants had their hands full all day.  Thank you all for participating, and look out for another one in the coming weeks.

For those who are mobilizing for Detroit, please remember that we have developed a database to track the number of people attending.  We estimate that 60 folks or so will fill the courtroom, so we are hoping that organizations can commit to filling it on one or multiple days throughout the life of the trial.  Email [email protected] with “Sept. 8th trial” in the subject heading to make your organizational and individual commitments.
