Our History

Organizing for Palestine goes far back into the 60's as students and community members rallied and organized for the Right of Return and against Zionist military occupation throughout all of Palestine. The movement has evolved since then, yet California's Palestinian and Arab community have long remained steadfast despite the violence, infiltration, and fear mongering caused by the oppressor to interfere with our community and our commitment to one another and the cause. Over time, USPCN officially launched in California with new and old organizers of California as a continuation of the work done in the early 80's, through the first and second Intifada, and beyond. We are a multigenerational organization that centers women, emphasizes all statuses from falahee to refugee, upholds the working class and their rights and dignity, and insists on the Right of Return and the liberation of all of Palestine. We have chapters in both Northern California and Southern California. The history in California is rich--join us to be a part of the future!
